Why shivalinga is in controversy?
Bhagwaan shiva
Shiva is also known as a destroyer in sanatan dharma. The devotee of shiva is called as shaivite. He is known and called by different names in Sanatan such as shankar, mahakaal, Rudra, mrityunjay, pashupatinath, adiyogi, ardhanarishwar etc. Parvat is considered as his shakti or Energy or power.
Shiva is the sakar or physical form. He has another form that is nirakar or worshipped in the form of lingam.
Controversy about the Shiva lingam
Many people say it is a male penis, or Shiva cut penis. Even most of the sanatani don't know about the auspicious Shiva lingam. They are also observing it as a male penis. Female Devotees do not touch the lingam because in their mind they are thinking wrong about the lingam.
Sanskrit is the oldest language. It is also known as the Dev bhasha. Most of the vedas and purans , upanishads are written in English. In Sanskrit the word used for male penis is Shishna .
Shishna means male penis whereas lingam means symbol.
The lingam is the nirakar form of Shiva. Why are people saying it is penis and parvati yoni? Instead why people are not thinking is that it is a burning diya or deep? The lauh / flame of diya looks like lingam.
The lingam is the only symbolic / nirakar form of shiva.
Example- some religion is praying to their God in the written form, someone is in sign forms. Such as Gurugrantha sahib, cross, Allah etc. The same is Aum . Sanatan God is Aum.
But humans have feelings, thinking etc . Humans need religion.
Opinion of humans about pooja
1 .They want to go nearest to their God. So, according to their thoughts, feelings , devotion and love sanatani have carved the God according to their wishes. 2. Someone is statue,
3 . Writing story, poems and songs,
4 . doing bhajan and kirtans,
5 . burning diyaa s in houses
6 .Helping poor people
7 . Caring and feedings and treating animals and birds
8 . Doing study
9. Meditation
10 . Learning Tantra vidya
11. Helping and feeding family
12 . Army serving for their country with honesty etc
In the same way we can say that lingam is the physical form of Aum.
Why is Belpatra offering to Shiva?
Doing pujas for someone is superstitions, some for personal love , someone for peace etc
It is believed that offering The Belpatra to Shiva brings bliss, welfare, wealth, well being and prosperity. People think that by offering Belpatra Shiva will become happy. But offering Belpatra may has two thoughts:-
1 . It is the human nature that if a person someone loves, he / she wants to give, donate, sacrifices etc
2 . The other side of offering Belpatra is that it is said that Shiva loves Belpatra. If a person sacrifices or offers a Belpatra to the Shiva with his wholeheartedly, love and devotion then he / she definitely gets the blessings and fulfilled wishes and gets shivaloka. There are many stories which say Shiva loves Belpatra. Burning diya near lingam
The Belpatra
The tree is mostly found around the Shiva and shakti temples. It is an auspicious tree in sanatan dharma. The leaves are found in three bunches. Some may be in five leaves which is very common. The three leaves denote Trinity or Tridev.
The leaves can denote Brahma, Vishnu and Shiv.
It may denote create, preserve and destroy.
It can denote present, past and future means he is all present ,past and future.
It can also denote our vatta, kapha and pitta. Means the belpatra may have the capacity to maintain human bodies three doshas.
Myths of Shiva linga
There are thousands of blame on Shiva which is given by hindus and other religions to destroy his omnipotent existence. It is said that he was walking nude holding his dead wife in his arms. He has cut his penis.
Is this possible?
People have just destroyed each and every God of Santana. Shiva is Omkar. All are trying to destroy our beautiful, elegant, flourish , scientific religion into superstitions, hate, splendidness of our Shiva. Unwanted changes done in our religious books, purans and Upanishads.
No one is asking today if sanatan is superstitious and false, then why foreigners came to Bharat to study in Nalanda university. If it was superstition then why was it burnt? Without jealousy it was not possible. Our books were wrongly translated. They didn't leave even our devtas such as indra. Ex -sanatani has applied rape charges on him. Even Ex-sanatani has not left any God without question?
Shiv is the male power in the universe. His supremacy can't be defined. He is the summit and climax of love, purity, divinity, power, wisdom and Everlasting. He is in Kundalini. He is Aum.
