  Bhagwaan shiva Shiva is also known as a destroyer in sanatan dharma. The devotee of shiva is called as shaivite. He is known and called by different names in Sanatan such as shankar, mahakaal, Rudra, mrityunjay, pashupatinath, adiyogi, ardhanarishwar etc. Parvat is considered as his shakti or Energy or power.  Shiva is the sakar or physical form.
